These terms apply when you book a private car, SUV or van with a Sheneller chauffeur through our online calculator. By ticking “I agree to the booking terms” and paying, you accept them on behalf of everyone travelling in your group.
1. Who we are

2. What you are booking
- A private vehicle (car, SUV or van) used only by your group, with a Sheneller-approved chauffeur, for the dates and route in your booking.
- An English-speaking chauffeur, or a chauffeur who speaks the language you chose, where you selected one.
- The same chauffeur for your whole trip wherever possible. If we have to change chauffeur or vehicle (for example after a breakdown), we will replace them with an equivalent as quickly as we can.
3. Your price
Your price is shown in US dollars and is held for 24 hours. It includes:
- your private vehicle and all the driving on your route;
- your chauffeur, including their meals and accommodation on nights away;
- insurance for your transport while you are on tour with us.
It does not include entrance fees, activities, safaris, your own accommodation, meals, or anything else not listed above.
Planned route. Your price covers the route you planned, including the drive to and from your pick-up and drop-off points. Short detours on the way can be agreed with your chauffeur. Bigger changes to the route are handled as a change to your booking (section 6).
By the day. 100 km per day is included. Any extra distance is charged at the per-km rate shown on your quote, measured from the vehicle’s odometer and settled with your chauffeur at the midpoint or end of your trip.
4. Booking and payment
- You pay the full price when you book, in US dollars, by card through PayHere’s secure checkout. We never see or store your card details.
- Your booking is confirmed once PayHere confirms your payment. An unpaid booking is held for 24 hours and then lapses.
- We will send you your chauffeur’s name and phone number before your trip starts.
5. Tour consultation
If you add a tour consultation, it costs USD 70 and is non-refundable once paid. It is included free of charge when your transport booking is over USD 1,000.
6. Changes to your booking
- You can change your route, dates or vehicle free of charge up to 7 days before your trip starts. We re-price the trip: you pay any difference, or we refund it (less PayHere’s card processing fee on the refunded amount).
- Changes requested less than 7 days before your trip, or during it, depend on chauffeur and vehicle availability and are re-priced in the same way.
- To make a change, email or WhatsApp us with your booking reference (it starts with SVB).
7. If you cancel

- Please cancel by email or WhatsApp. The time we receive your message counts.
- The tour consultation is not refundable (section 5).
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Your bank may take several working days to show them.
- Once your trip has started, unused days are not refunded.
8. If we have to cancel
If we cannot provide your booking, we will offer you an equivalent vehicle and chauffeur or new dates. If neither works for you, we will refund everything you paid us, including the card processing fee.
9. Things outside anyone’s control
Weather, floods, landslides, road closures, strikes, curfews, government restrictions and similar events can affect journeys in Sri Lanka. When they do, your chauffeur will work with you to adjust the route safely. We are not responsible for delays or missed plans caused by events outside our control, but we will always help you make the best of the day.
10. On the road
- Please travel within the passenger and luggage limits shown for your vehicle.
- Agree daily start times with your chauffeur, and allow them a proper night’s rest. Very early starts or late-night drives are possible only when safe and agreed in advance.
- No smoking in the vehicle. Your chauffeur may refuse to drive if anyone’s behaviour puts safety at risk.
- You are responsible for your own belongings and for any damage to the vehicle caused by your group, other than normal wear.
11. Insurance
Your transport is insured while you are on tour with us. We strongly recommend your own travel insurance covering health, personal belongings and cancellation.
12. Your details
We use the details you give us to price, manage and carry out your booking, and to contact you about it. We send you offers by email or WhatsApp only if you ticked the boxes to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
13. The law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most things can be put right quickly.
